Vancouver is one of those iconic international cities that every traveler has to see, sitting up there with London, Sydney and New York. And there is nowhere better to see it from than the Samesun Backpackers, situated right in the middle of all the action. We travel as well and in turn have strived to provide everything a backpacker needs. Our front desk staff know the city's attractions and hidden gems, as well as the rest of the province and are always available for you to answer any of your questions. All linens are provided and the beds are all made and ready for you. We all like free stuff, so we provide free wireless internet and free breakfast. There's also the $2 Beaver breakfast, consisting of eggs, sausages, hash browns and beans, making it the cheapest and heartiest hostel breakfast you will ever have. Other hostel facilities include a recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms, TV room, pool and foose ball tables, an internet lounge, laundry room, and security coded doors for your own security.

Also located on site is the Beaver Restaurant, the best backpacker hangout in Vancouver. With nightly dinner and drink specials, we will keep you looked after as well as leaving you with money in your pocket. And above all it's a great place to meet fellow travelers over a beer.

Another great way to meet other travelers is with our daily activities. There's always something happening, whether it's a movie night, poker night, visit to comedy clubs, trivia, sports day in the park or heading on one of our weekend day trips to somewhere just off the tourist radar. We also provide free walking tours three times a week.

And no visit to Canada is complete without hockey and snow. Vancouver has three great mountains to ride in Cypress, Grouse and Seymour. We also can hook you up with NHL tickets to see the Vancouver Canucks, possibly the greatest hockey team in the history of the universe (at least we like to think so). Of course if you're here in the summer, you won't get to do this. So we've put ourselves 10 minutes away from the beach as well.
